Meet the Baker

I’m Emma, Cake Baker, Chief Taster and Sugar Maker.

I’ve always loved cake but the turning point was making the first birthday cake for my daughter. After that I got the taste for it and became hooked to the sugar high.

The cakes may be grander, the mixture richer, the designs more intricate and the sugar styling more delicate. But the basics are still the same - decadent design with a delicious centre.

You’ll usually find me in the kitchen making, baking, creating (and the best bit: tasting), ensuring the mixture is just perfect.

There is nothing worse than seeing a beautiful, elegant, handcrafted wedding cake at a venue, hidden in a corner, behind a pillar or next to a fire escape, almost as though it were an afterthought.

I made it my mission to work with couples who cared about cake, who wanted a design distinctive to them, unique to their style and taste. I began partnering with venues and baking for couples who wanted a cake that would stand front and centre and be as decadent as it was delicious.

This is the Fancie Cake mission and from that day my mantra became.....

"Nobody puts cake in the corner"
